So I decided that I would wait to do a review , after I finished the whole series. And It took some time but here it is. As a whole I thoroughly enjoyed it . Now here is a book by book analysis of my opinions.
The Lightning Thief-
I absolutely LOVED this book. It possessed great characters, adventure, and tons of excitement. I really enjoyed the read even though it is considered a child's novel. I loved the relationships between the Gods and the children. The book introduced me to alot of mythology that I didn't realize intrigued me. An excellent beginning to a interesting series.
The Sea Of Monsters-
This book was even better than the first, who knew that could happen. I fell in love with the characters even more than I thought I could. The characters are developing as the story goes on, which I appreciate as a avid reader. Now the ending was crazy and had me on my toes, I was dying to read the third book.
The Titans Curse-
Okay i'm not sure if it was just me, but this book fell flat. It was boring and lifeless, plot was extremely over done and i did not enjoy it . It took me forever and a half to finish it and It didn't pick up until the ending scene. I wish i could have skipped over this book .
The Battle of the Labyrinth-
Now back to the good stuff, than goodness. This book was the best so far , that's for sure. This story line has many different aspects, that one doesn't expect which kept me on my toes. I love that in a book. The characters that we meet are fascinating and you get a chance to see the Gods in a new light.
The Last Olympian-
Awesome ending to a pretty good series, except for the titans curse ;)
I found out who the last Olympian is and she has been there through out the series, except you just never notice her. An amazing ending, that really surprises you. The hero isn't who you expect but its who you wanted it to be. This book had incredibly action, romance, and friendship. It was the total package and gave way into the new generation of demi gods, which I'm assuming is where the spin of series comes into play.
Incredible series, im very impressed. I can't wait to read the spin of series. I enjoyed the characters and the plots that implode your mind to the point where you want the world to be real. The writing style is a little child like but not so much that you feel stupid reading ( other than the 3rd book that is ).
